Brussels metropolitan network

Enhancing our existing footprint, building duct-based, high fibre count networks to accommodate high bandwidth customer growth.

Belgium is a growing digital hub, with significant investment in the region to support emerging trends such as IoT and GenAI. It’s centrally positioned at the heart of FLAP to interconnect with Frankfurt, London, Amsterdam and Paris, and supports our focus on the ongoing densification of this high-bandwidth demand region for our customers.

In April 2023 we acquired 1,660km of fibre network in Belgium, adding unique routes in Brussels and long haul routes across Belgium to complement our in-place network. In April 2024 we delivered a new duct and fibre-based network in Brussels, overbuilding acquired duct, purchasing additional cable and duct and building additional high fibre count connectivity and diversity between data centres, data clusters and network aggregation points. We’ll continue to invest and connect more sites to support customer demand.
